I just posted this entry over on Core regarding the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum show, “Extreme Textiles: Designing for High Performance”. Wanted to mention it here both because of my earlier entry on Issey Miyake and because besides relevance to ID (as more and more objects are made using advanced weaving technologies), the vr-ish image credited to Cary Wolinsky/Aurora is kick ass.
