A little late but too important not to mention is news from late last week that Siemens AG is purchasing privately-held UGS Corporation, one of the leaders in PLM software and a company I’ve mentioned a few times. The press release over on the UGS website (Link) and the announcement over on Desktop Engineering (Link) which alerted me to this development make for interesting reading. Additionally there’s a short entry over on Chris Kelley’s blog (Link) that starts to get into the kinds of things that are of interest to me (and some of you).
