{"id":552,"date":"2006-01-13T09:10:37","date_gmt":"2006-01-13T14:10:37","guid":{"rendered":"\/?p=552"},"modified":"2006-01-16T21:12:13","modified_gmt":"2006-01-17T02:12:13","slug":"tracking-the-escapist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.rebang.com\/?p=552","title":{"rendered":"Tracking the Escapist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve very much enjoyed the articles I&#8217;ve read on online magazine <strong>The Escapist<\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.escapistmagazine.com\/\" target=\"blank\">Link<\/a>), but unless I&#8217;m diligent I tend to miss an issue, and I&#8217;ve missed quite a few actually. That&#8217;s not good because the articles are often well-written and insightful. So this is notification to anyone else out there in the same boat that there&#8217;s a new issue (#27) online and ready for review.<\/p>\n<p>Not sure what The Escapist is? From their &#8220;About&#8221; section: <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Escapist covers gaming and gamer culture with a progressive editorial style, with articles and columns by the top writers in and outside of the industry. A weekly publication, its magazine-style updates offer content for a mature audience of gamers, entertainment enthusiasts, industry insiders, and other &#8220;NetSet&#8221; readers.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Okay, maybe the subject matter isn&#8217;t for everyone. But it sure is a nice-looking production. Plus, did I mention it&#8217;s free? No? Well, it&#8217;s <em>free<\/em>. So if you don&#8217;t think you might be interested in this stuff, check out the main article, &#8220;<em>Despite All Our Games<\/em>&#8220;, in the current issue anyway and see if maybe there&#8217;s something in there that is worth your time.
