Via the very interesting Architectradure blog comes this excellent bit of information. I’ve been searching around the net for people working towards both spimes and, more importantly, kirkyan-like devices. Well, here’s someone: Joshua Lifton has been working on sensing devices for a number of years (some nice research) and has expanded that into Second Life with what he’s calling the “Dual Reality Lab” (Link).

I’ve previously mentioned similar kinds of efforts, such as vCrib (reLink), but Lifton’s sensors are especially sophisticated. I know I’ll be reading over the documentation.
