BusinessWeek is carrying a nice entry today: a short interview with former Target VP Robyn Waters. Pretty sure I met her years ago (1997 I think) when the retailer made the shift about which she speaks. I didn’t realize then just how odd it was to be in a room with Target executives sketching out designs and developing new product concepts. Too bad for them she decided to leave. But then if “(m)ass customization is the next big wave“, I suppose making that work at Target could be daunting. I’d want out too probably.
